Bring your class to the Research Library and Archives of the American Revolution Institute
Library staff welcomes visits from institutions of higher learning including undergraduate and graduate students, and other groups, to explore the historic collections and resources at our landmark building in DuPont Circle. We work with instructors to design visits that utilize the library’s remarkable collections to understand the history and legacy of the American Revolution and cultivate critical thinking skills about visual and textual sources. (Due to staffing resources, we are not able to support K-12 class visits at this time.)
To establish a meaningful learning experiences, we aspire to:
- Create objective-driven learning experiences
- Design thoughtful visits that provide students with time and resource to analyze resources
- Collaborate with external educators through partnerships where all parties contribute toward positive outcomes
- Transform students into library super users
