April 12, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 8:45 pm
This dinner and lecture at the Inn at Saratoga, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., kicks off the Institute’s next two-day battlefield tour experience exploring a significant turning point of the American Revolution: the Battle of Saratoga. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with cocktails that will be available through a cash bar, followed by a buffet style dinner. Following the evening’s meal, a lecture given by the Institute’s historical programs manager, Andrew Outten, will discuss the campaigns of 1777, political and military mistakes made by British leadership, and other events that led to the surrender of British general John Burgoyne. The dinner and lecture will conclude at approximately 8:45 p.m.
